Evelyn

Evelyn is a historically working class area in SE8 that has seen some of the same regeneration pressure affecting neighbouring Deptford and New Cross, though the pace of change is slower. The streets are residential and some are quite run down, but there are pockets of improvement and the area benefits from being walking distance from the river and the DLR at Deptford. The community is tight knit and there is a real mix of long standing residents and newer arrivals.
