Egham Hythe & Pooley Green

The streets between Thorpe Lea Road and the Staines end feel more like an extension of Staines than part of Egham proper. Pooley Green has a small community of its own around the shops on Thorpe Lea Road, mostly 1950s and 60s housing. Magna Carta School is the local secondary. It's not fancy but it's practical, with Staines town centre and its Sainsbury's a short walk away. The river is close but you wouldn't call it riverside living.
