Thorpe Lea is a residential area between Egham and Staines, mostly postwar housing and some newer builds. Thorpe Lea Road is the main spine with a few local shops. It's not particularly characterful but it's affordable by Surrey standards and close to the M25 junction. Families use it as a stepping stone into the area. The Magna Carta School is the local secondary. Staines is closer than Egham for shopping and the station.
