Oakwood

Oakwood was built in the 1930s when the Piccadilly line extended north, and it still has that planned suburban feel. Wide roads, detached and semi-detached houses with driveways, and a shopping parade by the station. Trent Park is at the end of the road, which gives you woodland walks and open fields. It's popular with families who want tube access and green space without paying Cockfosters prices. The local shops are basic but functional.
