Southgate

Southgate is one of Enfield's most desirable areas. The Piccadilly line station, another Charles Holden design, is the centrepiece of a small local hub with cafes, restaurants, and shops around the circus. The residential streets are lined with 1930s houses, mostly well-kept and often extended. Grovelands Park is a proper park with a lake and mature trees. It has a villagey feel that people pay for, and the Greek Cypriot community gives the local food scene genuine quality. Families dominate and the schools are popular.
