Palmers Green

Palmers Green has a strong local identity and a surprisingly good high street along Green Lanes. Greek Cypriot and Turkish communities have been here for decades, and the food reflects that. You'll find excellent bakeries, delis, and restaurants. The housing is Edwardian and 1930s, with some handsome avenues. Palmers Green station (Great Northern) runs to Moorgate and King's Cross. Broomfield Park, though it's had its troubles with the house fire, is still a well-used local green space. It has a community feel that neighbouring areas sometimes lack.
