Deptford Creek

The Deptford Creek area on the Greenwich bank has seen serious redevelopment. New apartment blocks along Creek Road and the waterfront, the Laban Centre (Trinity Laban dance school) with its striking green and purple building, and creative studios in old industrial buildings. It still feels transitional, caught between Greenwich proper and Deptford. Greenwich DLR is close. The creek itself is a fascinating tidal habitat that gets drained at low tide. It's popular with young professionals renting in the new builds.
