Kidbrooke has been transformed by the demolition of the Ferrier Estate and the construction of Kidbrooke Village, one of London's largest regeneration schemes. The older parts of Kidbrooke, away from the new development, are standard interwar suburban streets. Kidbrooke station has trains to London Bridge and Charing Cross. Sutcliffe Park nature reserve is a surprisingly good wetland habitat created from old playing fields. The area is split between the shiny new development and the older residential streets, and they feel like different places.
