Stoke

Stoke is the area north of the town centre, centred on Stoke Road and including Stoke Park. The park itself is a big open space with a boating lake, playground, and sports pitches. Housing ranges from Victorian terraces closer to town to interwar and postwar development further out. The London Road area at the southern end has a mix of student lets and family homes thanks to proximity to the university. It's one of the more affordable central Guildford wards and feels mixed in a good way, neither polished nor neglected.
