Hackney Wick is where the canal meets the Olympic Park, and the area has been through dramatic change. The old industrial buildings that housed artists' studios and warehouses are being replaced by new-build flat developments at a relentless pace. Some of the creative community remains but the writing is on the wall. The canal towpath is a lovely walk. Hackney Wick Overground station and the proximity to Stratford's Elizabeth line make it well connected. The old Wick pubs and breweries (Crate, Howling Hops) still give it character. It's a neighbourhood in transition, and whether the transition is finished or halfway through depends on who you ask.
