Lea Bridge sits on the eastern edge of Hackney where the borough meets the Lea Valley marshes. Lea Bridge station reopened in 2016 after decades of closure and connects to Stratford and Tottenham Hale. The Walthamstow Marshes and the Lea Valley reservoirs are right there, which gives it an unusual amount of green and water for inner London. The housing is a mix of Victorian terraces, inter-war stock, and council estates. It's quieter and less fashionable than the western parts of the borough, which keeps it more affordable. The ice rink at Lea Valley is a local landmark.
