BR6 7 / TN14 7
Three distinct villages that share a ward. Halstead has a proper village green, a primary school, and a couple of pubs. It sits on a ridge with views over the Darent Valley and feels quietly comfortable without being showy. Knockholt is smaller and higher up, right on the edge of the North Downs. Knockholt station is actually in Knockholt Pound, a bit of a walk from the village itself, but gives you a direct Southeastern service to London Bridge. Badgers Mount is the smallest, a handful of houses clustered around the junction of the A21 and A224, with the M25 audible from most of it. The housing stock is mostly detached and semi-detached, a lot of 1930s through 1960s builds, with some older cottages in the village centres. People here are car-dependent for shopping, secondaries, and pretty much everything except the pub. Families like it for the quiet and the access to countryside.
