Crouch End is the heart of middle-class Haringey. The Broadway and the Clock Tower are the centre of a proper village high street with independent cafes, bookshops, delis, and restaurants. It's full of young families, freelancers, and people who work in media or education. The housing is mostly Victorian and Edwardian terraces, tightly packed on hilly streets. The big downside is transport. There's no tube. You're reliant on the W7 and W5 buses, or walking to Finsbury Park or Highgate. People put up with it because the local life is so good. Priory Park is a nice green space and the primaries are popular.
