Harpenden East

The eastern side of Harpenden, stretching toward Batford and the River Lea. Housing is a mix of 1930s semis and some larger detached houses, with newer infill development scattered through. Batford has its own little cluster of shops and a well-used playing field. It is slightly less polished than the central and western parts of town, which makes it marginally more affordable, but you are still firmly in Harpenden price territory. Walking distance to the station and the high street from most streets.
