Harpenden South

South of the station and the common, stretching toward St Albans along the A1081. Some of Harpenden's most sought-after streets are here, with big Edwardian and 1930s houses on wide, tree-lined roads. Rothamsted Park is on the doorstep. The station is walkable, which matters hugely for commuters. Southdown is the main residential area and it has a settled, affluent, families-with-dogs feel.
