The east side of Haslemere includes the station and the lower part of town heading towards Shottermill. Housing is a mix of Victorian and Edwardian semis, some larger detached places up the hill, and a few newer developments. The station is the main draw, with direct services to Waterloo. Shottermill has its own small cluster of shops and a community feel that's slightly separate from the main town. The walking is excellent, with Marley Common and the greensand ridge accessible on foot.
