Hatfield Central

The town centre area around the old high street and White Lion Square. The original village core near St Etheldreda's church has some older buildings with character, but the pedestrianised shopping area is classic new town, functional but not inspiring. The Galleria outlet centre on the edge provides most of the retail pull now. The University of Hertfordshire campus is right here, so the population skews young and there are student lets mixed in with everything else. Hatfield station is walkable, giving you a direct Great Northern service into Kings Cross in about 25 minutes. The old town and the new town sit side by side without ever quite connecting.
