Horam is a village strung along the A267 about two miles south of Heathfield. It has a pub, a village hall, and a recreation ground, but not much in the way of shops. The Cuckoo Trail passes through, which gives it a pleasant walking and cycling route. Punnetts Town is a tiny hamlet further east, scattered houses along lanes with no services to speak of. Housing in Horam is a mix of bungalows, 1960s semis, and some newer builds. It is cheaper than Heathfield proper but even more car-dependent.
