Longstanton

Longstanton is a smaller village that has been directly affected by the Northstowe development next door, one of the largest new towns being built in England. The original village has a church, a pub, and a village green. Housing in the old part is a mix of older cottages and 20th century infill. As Northstowe grows, Longstanton's character is changing, with new infrastructure and facilities arriving but also a lot more construction traffic and disruption. The Guided Busway has a stop nearby. Whether Longstanton keeps its village identity or gets absorbed into Northstowe is the big question.
