CB23 8
Bar Hill was built from scratch in the 1960s as a planned village off the A14, and it still feels like it. The layout is car-oriented with a central Tesco, a health centre, and a golf course. Housing is mostly 1970s and 80s detached and semis, with some newer infill. It has a Guided Busway stop which makes Cambridge accessible without driving, but the village itself has limited charm. It's functional and affordable by Cambridge standards, popular with families who need space and don't mind that the architecture won't win any awards.
