Houghton Regis West

The western side is where much of the newer development sits, including parts of the Houghton Regis North expansion that will eventually add thousands of homes. For now it is a mix of established 1970s and 80s estates and newer builds creeping northward. Tithe Farm is a local landmark, a community centre and recreation ground that acts as a focal point. The area is close to junction 11A of the M1, which is useful if you drive but means road noise is part of the deal on some streets. Schools in the area are adequate without being a particular draw.
