Catford

Catford is the main town centre for Lewisham borough and has been going through a significant regeneration programme for several years. The shopping centre and the long stretch of shops along the A20 give it a proper urban centre feel, and there is a weekly market that has a loyal following. Transport is convenient with Catford and Catford Bridge stations, and the recently rebuilt Lewisham link means connections to the rest of south London are reasonable. The area has a mixed community and some streets are more worn than others, but the ongoing investment in the area is noticeable.
