CM9 6
Maldon West runs west from the town centre with a similar profile of mid-century residential streets and newer cul-de-sac developments filling in gaps. It does not have any particular standout features and that is part of the appeal: it is a place where people live quietly without the town making demands on their attention. The High Street is accessible but not in your face, and for families the local primary schools do a reliable job. There are playing fields and a recreation ground that get used at weekends. Commuting to Chelmsford or the M25 is easier from here than from the east side, which matters to residents who work further afield. Property values are modest by Essex standards.
