Little Hadham & The Pelhams

Little Hadham straddles the old A120 before the bypass took the traffic away, which improved life considerably. There is a village shop, a pub, and a well-regarded primary school. The Pelhams (Brent Pelham, Furneux Pelham, Stocking Pelham) are smaller still, proper hamlets strung along narrow lanes in arable countryside. Housing across the area is a mix of period farmhouses, thatched cottages, and some newer builds. The Pelhams are the sort of places where you know everyone and the pub is the social hub. It is beautiful, undulating country but you need a car for absolutely everything beyond the basics.
