Silvertown

Silvertown was industrial docklands, and it is still in transition. Pontoon Dock DLR is the local station. The Tate & Lyle factory is still here, which you can smell on certain days. New builds are appearing along the waterfront but the area between the dock and the A13 is a strange mix of logistics yards, empty plots, and shiny apartment blocks. The Silvertown Tunnel under the Thames is under construction, which will change traffic patterns significantly. It feels pioneering to live here right now.
