The Freemasons Road area has older council housing, but the Crossrail arrival has prompted new development. ExCeL London is right here, which means the area gets busy during events. There is a Tesco Extra and a Morrisons nearby for everyday shopping but no real high street. It is functional rather than charming, and still very affordable.
