Tatsfield is one of the highest villages in Surrey, perched up on the North Downs above the Darent Valley. It feels genuinely remote, despite being only a few miles from the M25. There is a village green, a pub, a small shop, and not much else. The roads in are narrow and winding. Titsey is barely a hamlet, just a few houses near the Titsey Estate. Cyclists know both well because of the hills. Housing is scattered, mostly larger detached properties with big plots. You live here because you want space and countryside, not because it is convenient for anything.
