Cowden is a tiny village near the Kent/Sussex border with a pub, a church, and not much else. Hever is best known for its castle (Anne Boleyn's childhood home) but as a place to live it is a handful of houses around a country lane. Hever station on the Uckfield line gives you slow, infrequent trains to London Bridge via Oxted. The housing is mostly period cottages and farmhouses, expensive for what they are because of the setting. People who live here want to be properly rural and accept the trade-offs that come with it.
