SS13 1 / SS13 2 / SS13 3
This is the more residential, slightly quieter side of Pitsea, stretching up toward Chalvedon and the edges of Basildon proper. Housing is mostly 1950s and 60s new town stock, a lot of it ex-council, with some later infill. There are a few parades of shops but nothing you would call a high street. Families here tend to use the schools around Chalvedon. It is affordable and functional, and the A13 is close for driving, but there is not much to distinguish it from the wider Basildon new town sprawl.
