This covers the area around Pitsea station, the market, and the older part of the town stretching down toward the creek and marshes. The station is the main asset, giving you a direct line into the City. Pitsea Market is still a proper old-school Essex market, busy on weekends. The housing is a real mix: some older Victorian and Edwardian terraces from pre-new-town Pitsea, plus the usual post-war estates. Wat Tyler Country Park is on the doorstep, which is one of the better green spaces in south Essex. It is no-frills but has more character than the north west side.
