The town centre has a small market square and a high street with enough to cover daily needs, pubs, a Co-op, a pharmacy, a few cafes. Housing is a real mix: period cottages near the centre, 1930s and postwar semis further out, and large new build estates on the southern fringe towards Longwick. Princes Risborough station on the Chiltern Main Line gets you to Marylebone in about 50 minutes. Monks Risborough, technically a separate village, is really the northern extension of the town and has its own halt on the same line. Families like it for the countryside access and the fact that property is more affordable than the Chiltern towns closer to London. It is not fancy, but it works well as a practical base.
