Cliffsend and Pegwell

Cliffsend is a small village that sits between Ramsgate and Minster, right next to Pegwell Bay nature reserve. Pegwell Bay itself is a genuinely important wildlife site with mudflats and wading birds. The housing is a mix of older cottages and newer estates. It feels separate from Ramsgate proper, almost rural, and people here tend to like it that way. The Viking Ship replica on the shore is a local landmark. Handy for the A299 if you're driving.
