Katesgrove

Katesgrove is one of the more diverse parts of Reading, just south-east of the centre. London Road runs through it with a string of independent shops, restaurants and community spaces. The housing stock is mostly Victorian terraces, many converted into flats. It's affordable and central but can feel a bit hard-worn in places. The area has gradually been smartening up without losing its character.
