Gants Hill

Cranbrook covers the area around Gants Hill roundabout and Cranbrook Road, which runs from Ilford up to Gants Hill station. Gants Hill is a proper local centre with banks, restaurants (especially good South Asian food along the Eastern Avenue stretch), and services. The station is Central line and the roundabout was designed by the same architect as the Moscow metro, which is the area's favourite pub quiz fact. Housing ranges from Victorian terraces near Ilford to larger interwar semis towards Gants Hill. Strong schools, good tube access, and a mix of families who have been here for decades.
