Teddington

Teddington has one of the strongest high streets in the borough. The stretch along the High Street and Broad Street has a proper mix of independent shops, restaurants, coffee places, and pubs. The Landmark Arts Centre hosts events. Bushy Park is right there, and the river lock marks where the Thames stops being tidal. Teddington station has direct trains to Waterloo. Housing is a mix of Victorian and Edwardian, with prices that have climbed steadily as families discovered it. The National Physical Laboratory is based here, which gives it a slightly unexpected scientific identity. It punches above its weight for a suburban town.
