Ermine

The eastern side of Royston, named for the old Roman road that runs through it. This is where most of the post-war housing estates sit, with 1960s and 70s semis and some newer builds scattered in. The Tesco and industrial areas are on this side of town. It is functional and residential, within walking distance of the high street but without much character of its own. The A505 runs along the edge, which gives easy road access but adds some noise.
