Linton

Linton is one of the larger villages in this part of South Cambs and has more going on than most. There is a proper high street with a Co-op, a butcher, a few independent shops, and several pubs. Linton Zoo is a local landmark. Linton Village College serves the area and is well regarded. The village sits in the Granta valley with chalk hills around it, which gives it a more attractive setting than the flat fen villages further north. It is further from Cambridge than Sawston or Shelford, so the commute is longer, but it has enough of its own identity that you do not feel stranded.
