Harrold

Harrold is a proper stone village with a big green and a country park along the river Great Ouse that pulls in visitors from Bedford at weekends. There is a pub on the green and a small village shop, which is more than most places round here can say. Housing is a mix of older stone cottages and some newer builds, mostly family-sized. It feels like a Northamptonshire village that ended up in Bedfordshire by accident. You will need a car for everything beyond the basics.
