Murston sits between Sittingbourne and the old brickfields to the east. It is a mixed residential area, with older terraces near the centre and newer estates further out. The old clay pits have been turned into nature reserves, which is one of the area's genuine assets. Otherwise it is functional and affordable, without strong character in either direction.
