CM0 7
Tillingham is a small village set back from the coast on the Dengie peninsula, almost impossibly flat and exposed in every direction. The village consists of a church, a pub, a primary school, and a scattering of houses along a single lane. It is firmly agricultural country, arable farmland in every direction, the sort of place where the rhythm of life is set by farming rather than anything else. The population is small and aging, the village has very little in the way of shops or services, and anyone needing anything beyond basics has to travel. The community is close-knit in the way small rural villages tend to be, anchored by the school and the pub.
