London Bridge station is one of the busiest in the city, and the area around it has been transformed by the Shard and the More London development. Tooley Street, Bermondsey Street, and the riverside walk toward Tower Bridge are the main draws. It is overwhelmingly commercial and tourist-facing during the day. The residential options are mostly modern flats in converted warehouses or new towers. Bermondsey Street has some of the best restaurants and bars in south London. Not a place for families, but excellent if you work in the City or Canary Wharf and want to walk to the office.
