West Bermondsey

The area between London Bridge and Bermondsey tube station, south of Tooley Street. Bermondsey Street runs through it and has become one of south London's most appealing strips, with restaurants like Jose, the White Cube gallery, and Maltby Street Market on weekends. Away from the street, there are large council estates and some newer residential blocks. The contrast between the gentrified strip and the estates either side of it is striking. Bermondsey tube on the Jubilee line gets you to Canary Wharf in minutes.
