Rotherhithe

Old docklands Rotherhithe, the part closest to the Thames around St Mary's Church and the Brunel Museum. The Mayflower pub claims to be the oldest on the river. There are converted warehouses, council housing around the Rotherhithe estate, and some lovely Georgian bits around the church. It has a tucked-away quality because the peninsula geography means you only come here on purpose. Rotherhithe station on the Overground and the Jubilee at Canada Water are the main connections. The Thames Path walk is beautiful along this stretch.
