Close to the town centre and the railway station, which makes it one of the more convenient spots for commuters. The housing is a mix of original New Town stock and some later additions. Bedwell Crescent has a small parade of shops. It is a practical location rather than a pretty one, but the proximity to the station gives it an edge over neighbourhoods further out.
