Sunbury East

Sunbury East covers the older, more established part of town closer to the Thames and the village centre around Thames Street and Green Street. There are some attractive period cottages and Edwardian terraces near the river, with larger 1930s houses further back. The Walled Garden in Sunbury Park is a real local asset, and the Thames towpath gives it a sense of space. Sunbury station is here, slow branch line into Waterloo. The local shops along Thames Street and the Avenue are modest but cover the basics. It has more character than Sunbury Common and the riverside streets are genuinely pleasant.
