Sunningdale

Sunningdale is defined by its golf clubs. Sunningdale Golf Club is one of the most exclusive in the country, and the whole area has that leafy, gated, hedged feel of serious money. The village centre has a small run of shops along the A30, a couple of restaurants, and a Waitrose, enough for daily life. Housing is mostly large detached properties from the interwar period onwards, set back from the road on generous plots. The station on the Ascot line gets you to Waterloo, which keeps it on the radar for commuters. Families tend to go private for schools. It is quiet, very green, and very expensive.
