Hackbridge

Hackbridge has changed a lot in the last decade. The BedZED eco-village put it on the map and since then there have been several new-build developments along the Wandle. Hackbridge station gets you to Victoria in about 30 minutes. The old part of Hackbridge is modest, with small terraced streets and a few local shops. The new developments have brought in younger buyers and renters. The Wandle Trail runs through, which is a genuine amenity. It's still finding its identity as a place but the regeneration is real, not just planned.
