South Beddington & Roundshaw

Roundshaw is a 1960s housing estate built on the old Croydon Airport site. It has the look and feel of that era, with low-rise blocks and open green spaces between them. The Roundshaw Downs open space is surprisingly wild and good for walks. South Beddington is more conventional, with interwar housing. Wallington station is the nearest rail link. It's one of the more affordable corners of Sutton and feels quite different from the leafy suburbs further south. The community is tight-knit in the Roundshaw bit.
