Tilbury Riverside and Thurrock Park

This covers the core of Tilbury closest to the river and the docks. The ferry terminal to Gravesend is here, and Tilbury Fort sits at the waterfront. Housing is largely post-war council estates, much of it now in private hands. The Civic Square area has a library and community spaces but the shopping is very limited. Proximity to the port means heavy goods traffic and an industrial feel that does not really let up. Tilbury Town station is the nearest stop for the c2c line. It is functional and affordable, and people who work at the port or nearby logistics parks find it convenient.
