Globe Town & Mile End

Globe Town is the area between Roman Road and Mile End Road, with Mile End tube at the southern end. It has a quiet residential character that surprises people who expect full-on East London chaos. The streets around Globe Road have terraced houses, some council blocks, and a few new builds. Roman Road market (western end) is the main local draw, with a mix of traditional stalls and newer independent shops. Mile End Park runs alongside, giving you a green corridor that connects to the canal. The tube station has the Central, District, and Hammersmith & City lines, which is genuinely useful.
